A lot has been made recently of Apple’s newest version of their smartwatch. And Apple has certainly made significant advancements in not only their own product, but in the genre of smart wearables in general. But even with a larger display, more accurate tracking and sensors, and advanced features like heart monitoring and an ECG built in, there are still some areas where the Apple Watch series 4 falls short. Apple can use in house solutions to untangle these problems, but there is also another option that they could avail themselves of. And in choosing this path, they might find that they are gaining more than they could at first imagine. I think that Apple should buy Fitbit as a whole, and fold them into their smart wearable division. Let me tell you why.
We will be covering all things Apple and iPhone as they are announced today at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino – make sure you bookmark the page and hit that F5 to refresh to get all the news! Read below for what we know so far…(continuously updated…)
We’ve been talking a lot of Apple products around these parts lately – which is unusual for us for sure. But as many of you know we live in a world where Apple introduced us to a world without headphone jacks. And sometimes that’s easier and more convenient, but more often than not, its just a plain old pain in the rear. But there are some things you can do to help out with that, and today’s deal is one of those things.
You can save 20% off an ANTTUS charging adapater for iPhone devices, that will allow you to continue to listen to your lightning compatible Earpods while still charging your phone. You simply plug one end of the 3ft cable into your portable battery pack or USB A charging adapater, and the other end into your compatible iPhone (iPhone 7 and above, including the iPhone X) and then put your lightning Earpods into the cable’s dongle adapter. And boom! – you can continue to listen to music, podcasts (like ours!) or take and make phone calls while your phone charges away.
You can use this link to see the cable on Amazon, and use the promo code “20A3A4JH” to get 20% off at checkout. It’s that easy! If you’re like me, and need to charge your iPhone on the go with a portable battery, this could be a real time and hassle saver. In particular, I touch on 5 things that I think Apple missed the mark on. Check it out, and let me know what you think. Be sure to leave a comment, subscribe, and thanks for watching!
So – as is usual and customary, Apple lifted their NDA last night and media outlets were off to the races. I’m working on a video recap of the details, but I’ll summarize the highlights below if you are interested. Side note: only the Touch Bar versions of the MacBook Pros will be getting this refresh – the non-Touch Bar 13″ MBP was not announced to have any updates as of the date of this article.
Today marked the beginning of the software focused event from Apple, targeting primarily the development community. Or at least, that’s how its been in the past, with this year’s event a bit more “community” than “developer” (or at least that’s what it seemed like to me. I was a bit underwhelmed truth be told, but here is a rough list of what I found most interesting from the keynote event that took place today.
In somewhat surprising news, Apple announced today that you will be able to buy the Product (RED) iPhone in the 8 and 8 Plus variants, starting tomorrow. The Product (RED) items support groups dedicated to eradicating HIV and AIDS in many nations on the African continent. Apple has many other Product (RED) items that support this worthy cause, but if you were in the market for something a little different in your iPhone, this might be for you.
Different from previous years, the metal and glass face of the devices will be black, and not white. This makes them a little more aethestically pleasing (if you ask me) and much less prone to showing smudges and dings as well. Let us know in the comments below if you are planning on picking one up!
